Got My Loa

HEY EVERYONE, I know im a new member www.collegeconfindential.com but I just called my Congressman to zero in on my “interview” time and the lady said “btw congrats on your LOA.” I flipped… She than said that I should be getting it soon and apologized for “ruining” my suprise. I told her she could schedule me at 4 in the morning! This is truly a great suprise and I urge you guys to call your congressman maybe with a question, and they might disclose if you have an LOA. I’m on top of the world. Thanks to Nothemomma and others… If anyone else finds out let me know.
Good Luck All

Congrats! Thats awesome.

I don't know if you'd mind or not (you certainly don't have to do this), but it might be nice for some of us to get an idea of your stats just to see a bit of the conditions for an LOA so far.

I was actually going to call my congressman/Senators office tommorow, because I still haven't gotten anything from them regarding interviews, and I'm starting to get a little worried. It's kinda late, I think. Hopefully I'm worrying over nothing...

Wow! Looks like you and nothemamma's (sp?) son got one in the same batch. Congratulations!

And I agree on the stats. It'd be nice to see what's been getting people these early LOA's.

You must be on top of the world right now.

You've given me even more reason to look twoards my mailbox everyday.

I don't mind sharing my stats:
750V; 650M
4.0 GPA
Captain of my football team (however not planning to play at USAFA)
and a bunch of extra-curricular items... (Boy's State, etc.)
I also had a great interview with my ALO. I would def. call my representatives to schedule, don't worry some do theirs late.

I also heard that some recruited athletes (i'm not a recruited athlete) hear early, and would like to reinforce what 'nothemomma' said regarding "acceptance of the whole person." I hope this sheds some light on the subject and helps to relieve some of the 'frustration of waiting.'

It's Incredibly Thrilling!

As far as my status on the webpage it remains unchanged and locked on "candidate" so don't fret... My scores weren't the greatest maybe they just know how much I wanted it!

Thanks for the stats.
My SAT's were pretty similar, a little lower on the verbal and a little higher on the math, and my GPA was a little lower as well (around 3.5). Also, I definately think I fit the whole person category, I have lots of EC's, volunteer work, jobs, LOTS os leadership (awards, captain, etc), all that stuff. I'm also being recruited for XC/Track, and I'm pretty sure that it can help with getting in early (especially if you are already somewhat competative, hopefully). Anyways, Congrats again, and I wish you the best of luck if I'm not with you there at inprocessing (I really hope this isn't the case though!)

judging by your stats I have a feeling I will see you soon... Good Luck

Dude I got like a guaranteed LOA like months ago....

Yeah, I'm pretty amazing.

Thanks. Yeah, hopefully...though they are waiting for after my first semester grades from college are sent, at least they are according to the XC coach.

"Dude I got like a guaranteed LOA like months ago....

Yeah, I'm pretty amazing."

-.............

ANYWAYS...

Congrads man. I hope to see you at Iday since our stats are somewhat similar (no football capt...)...

I know every one here is saying it but congrads! I assume you are accepting the appointment when it comes?

ANYWAYS?????

Just 'cause I'm friggin' awesome people put me down...sheez

yea man, this has been my dream for a while now. I hope to see you all on Iday and I have a feeling if you guys are interested enough to be on this forum religiously It means you have the potential. I forgot to mention my DODMERB status was "potential pilot qualified." Be sure to let everyone know WHEN you guys get your LOA's.

Like a month and a half ago....

Yeah, once again, I'm awesome.

PPQ here as well. I'll let you all know right when I hear, assuming I haven't had a nervous breakdown before then...just kidding, but it is really nerve racking

sr622, come on man congrats if you got your LOA but some kids are serious about serving our country and we don't need someone belitteling our hard earned achievments-- PS I have never heard of USAFA LOA in October espeically because the academy itself didn't start sending them out until November.

Yeah, that's true....^^^^^^^^^^

I was playing around...

Congrats!

thanks man

CONGRATS! This is exhilerating, just hearing yall getting them.

I am glued to the mailbox! Congressman letters for interviews come in this week. Senator NOMINATIONS come in next Monday. AND LOA's are potentially out for people. 8)

HEY! Its noisy in here! Way to go Ben for adding to it! You gotta be walking on air. Congrats ten times! Everyone else, spin around in your chairs three times and SCREAM BLOODY FREAKIN' MURDER. Ok. Stress should be gone for atleast 10 seconds due to the dizziness and lack of oxygen. Its still early so keep the faith! Your turn is coming.
