Basically the title says it all. I got into my safety school, IU, and I received a letter of acceptance with a packet of information about a week ago. However, there was nothing that mentioned scholarship offers or an invitation to Huttons honors college. Is this information supposed to come in a different letter? I really thought I was eligible for a scholarship and an invitation to Huttons since I had high grades and an above average ACT score. Please enlighten me and post some replies. Thanks.

I know for primary scholarship consideration you were supposed to apply by November.. not sure if that's what this is about or not. Just a thought :)

sorry, that means u didnt get anything. i applied in early dec and got the faculty award (7k/yr) and an invite to honors college. when did u apply and what are your stats if you dont mind.

I got my scholarship information in my admission packet.

Unfortunately, even though you may be very well qualified, only students who apply before a certain deadline are considered for faculty scholarships (I'm PRETTY sure, don't quote me). But yeah, same thing happened to me actually with a different school which was my safety. I didn't apply for the priority deadline because I hadn't even thought about applying to this school til I saw all the scholarship money that my friends were getting. By the time I applied though it was past the deadline, so I got accepted and all just got zilch in terms of $$$. Such is life!

my D got her acceptance packet w/scholarship info in Dec, and a few weeks later she got a seperate letter inviting her to apply to HHC. This involved a couple of essays and 2 letters of rec. Three weeks after that she heard she got in, and the letter from HHC said scholarship letters would follow in the near future-March-ish I think it said.

I got my letter from the honors college today, about whcich scholarships I qualified for and they are saying none becasue they are only giving out 150 thrugh the Honors College but I would hope there are more throug the univeristy in general. But your problem may be you applied too late.
