Reasons I attended Wash U

-Ability to multi-major (I’m triple majoring although although ArtSci students can’t ;-p)
-Everyone (staff/professors) are incredibly friendly
-Opportunity to do research (although I never did)
-BS/MS programs which are almost like guaranteed easy acceptance into masters programs for egineers
-Ability to take classes from all types of school (i.e. business)
-30-35% Jewish
-Amazing dorms/food options

Things I regret as a senior about Wash U
-Smaller department sizes means fewer different classes offered each year by each department. An interesting course you might want to take that is offered at large schools may not be offered at Wash U, or may be offered every 2 or 4 years. Being able to do independent study to make up for this is a plus, but this will always be my biggest academic regret about attending a school like Wash U.

Take any subject, even one as common and seemingly similar at each college as Math. You’ll see that that Wash U offers the needed courses that a college must have. But this leaves few extras for “cool” classes versus larger schools that offer everything needed, but still have significant faculty members to offer the “cool” electives.
