please come to Mosaic and make your own in person judgments about Vanderbilt as your fit…congrats to all

Since this is just for minorities, I think there may have been some controversy about the whole race issue. Do you htink they would go as far as to match you up with undergrads there of the same ethnicity?

I received an invite today too!
I was a bit surprised but very excited. :)

I’m Caucasian, 2330 SAT, 34/12 ACT, 4.4 GPA.
I’m an avid quizbolwer and youtuber.
I am very interested in Japanese and Latin American culture, my favorite authors are Ishiguro and Garcia-Marquez. I definitely plan to study abroad.
This summer I helped organize a class in Louisville to help promote diversity and end discrimination and intolerance.

I can’t wait to meet you guys! :)

Congrats to all of you!!! How many of the applicants get these early acceptance letters?

I got one as well!
Asian, 34 ACT, 4.4 GPA, Kentucky.

Any New Yorkers hear back yet?

Hey guys! I am beyond stoked for MOSAIC Weekend. I can’t wait to meet all of you! Congratulations anyone! Is there anyone from VA? If anyone wants to get to know each other a bit before the event message me. Congrats again!! :)

got my MOSAIC acceptance today! (asian female)

I really want to go, but I think it might conflict with my school’s local chem olympiad exam

I just got mine in the mail today too. Congrats to everyone!

Does anyone know if this has any effect on the Cornelius scholarship? Like does it mean I got rejected for it or does going to the MOSAIC thing increase my chances? I’m looking at a full to UNC - Chapel Hill anyways so I want to know if its a waste of money to go.

Stats: 2400 SAT (one sitting) & rank 15/900 & Asian.

I was confused for a minute because this is last year’s thread. You might want to check out this one.

S is accepted as well but has a conflict so sadly, will not attend. D’10 did attend 3 years ago and loved it. She almost ended up at Vandy…it was a strong #2 choice.

gonyyong:

Mosaic has no bearing on scholarships. (D was a scholarship recipient as well.) And you and S’13 must have been at Chapel Hill together, because he received a full ride too. Congratulations. You will have amazing choices! Do you have any other top contenders so far?

@critter
Did your D end up going to MOSAIC? Was it worth it (time-wise mostly)?

To answer your question, I’m hoping that I get into the Penn State- Jefferson Medical School program, but other than that, not much.

2290, African American male, Gay activist and more!, My essays kicked butt.

I’ll probably attend Vandy barring a great admission/finaid offer from some other school.

Same here; unless I happen to get into Princeton or Yale it’s Vandy all the way. Super psyched for this!

@lexieam,

I live in New York and didn’t get one. It probably was because I didn’t meet their needs, though.

Magenta, do you live in nyc? I do, and I got one on Friday. If not, just check your mailbox on Monday!

Is everyone getting acceptance letters? I only got the mosaic invite…

The mosaic invite is an acceptance. Also I am Indian with 4.0 GPA and 2370 SAT living in Nashville and I got it.

This is so awesome. I thought I’d end up at one of my safeties.
