i think it’s quite possible for you to get accepted at another university. I’ve heard of many occasions where a person got rejected from 4 ivies and get into their 5th and stuff like that. I would say:

Claremont McKenna College - idk
Dartmouth College - low reach
James Madison University - match
Pomona College - low reach
University of Virginia - low reach
Yale University - high reach (this one would be the hardest for you to get into)

I agree with lovebrown’s analysis, although I would change JMU to a safety and UVA to a high match. I think you need to add a few more match schools. You are a strong candidate for schools just below the Ivys. What are you looking for in a school in terms of size and location? Have you considered GW or American? DC schools are great for Political Science. Good luck.

Claremont McKenna College- low reach
Dartmouth College- low reach
James Madison University- definite safety
Pomona College- don’t know
University of Virginia- match
Yale University- reach

Dartmouth College- reach

Pomona College - high match

University of Virginia - match

Yale University - high reach

Claremont McKenna College -low reach
Dartmouth College- reach
James Madison University - Dont knw
Pomona College - high match
University of Virginia - match
Yale University - high reach

Thanks you guys! My friend told me that she knows someone that applied to ALL the Ivies, but singled out Columbia for ED admission, got flat out rejected by Columbia, and was accepted into the rest. Ivy Leauges are so incredibly unpredictable. Ughhhhh. Anyway, I agree with Yale being the hardest on my list, and I will look at some DC schools for Political Science, it’s just that I kinda want to get out of the DC/Nova/MD environment which I’ve been in my whole life. I literally know DC like the back of my hand, so I wanna experience something new.

Claremont McKenna College - don’t know enough to chance, sorry!
Dartmouth College - reasonable reach/high match
James Madison University - safety
University of Virginia - match
Yale University - reach, but it is for anyone so you never know!

Awesome SAT, rank, and EC’s. Most colleges will probably recognize the rigor of the IB program.
I also saw on a previous thread that you had considered Georgetown and Washington and Lee, which I think your chances at both of those schools are extremely optimistic. If you are interested in political science I’d definitely encourage you to consider Georgetown and Dartmouth! Best of luck to you!

I had considered Georgetown and Washington and Lee, and I ended up applying to the latter, but left out Georgetown due to my high school’s history with Georgetown (Georgetown has rejected our valedictorian three years in a row). Apparently the upper level schools have like a stigma against my high school. It’s really weird.
