Got Roomates...Got Hayden... Need Info

Got my roomate letter today with final assignment. I'm in a "quad" or "double" Double" Anyone have a source (or is a source) on the different floor plans at Hayden. What's the difference between the "A" rooms and "B" rooms in the double doubles...some architect student should sketch them out for prosterity.

Nonetheless, any Hayden quthorities on the different room layouts...you'll be needed

This was posted on another thread at some point. Hope this helps.

oooooh that's perfect, but not if your on a lower floor or I think the other half of the building (that doesn't qualify as "highrise) Which (of course) I am...any source for floor layouts if you have a room number under "10"???

Thanks milk n sugar

Any of these links are good.

There's a floor plan on the wiki.

Also, if you live near NYU, you can go to the housing department on 4th ave and west 4th (I think), and they have floor plans in a book in the lobby.

I ended up in room -16 in Hayden but it has an "A" on the end of it. Do all non-suites just say "A" anyway? I didn't think it was a suite or anything...

I think it is a suite if it says "A" does the letter have one roomates name or 3?

I don't believe that the A is necessarily important--your roommate is probably 'B'. It's just for labeling purposes and really doesn't mean anything when it comes down to it.

I'm a little confused...so I have a low-cost triple for Hayden and I thought it would be three people in one room but I'm in -12A with three people connected to a 12B that has two people. Is that five people sharing ONE bathroom? How much room and closet space is there in a room like this?

AFAIK, yeah, you're sharing one bathroom (at least we did for Orientation). There should be a closet for each room though.

If people in Hayden post specific room assignments, I could take pictures, depending on if people are currently in the rooms or not. If people are currently in your room, I could take a picture of a complementary room on another floor, since each room number from floor to floor has the exact same layout.

NOCCA Junior- If you could post pictures of -21A/B my DD would appreciate it. Thanks.

No, I think the quads (double doubles) have two kids in the "A" room, two kids in the "B" sharing a bath (bummer) and as predicted just one small closet for us. My letter had myself, another 'A" student, and the names of the two "b" students who will be suite mates. Believ...you sure your in a low cost triple, previous posters said those 5 room suites were billed AT FULL PRICE. NOCCA...can I send you a private e-mail with my room number for some shots? supposedly it's a wacky layout

NOCAA I'd appreciate if you could post pictures of 5 person suites, thanks in advance. Salem, I'm pretty sure I got put in low-cost because my bill is for 4,125--is this the low-cost rate? I thought doubles shared a bathroom with one roommate but after reading the above posts it seems like doubles share with the other double room--do all doubles share a bathroom in "quads"?

NOCCA my DD is also in -21B so a picture would be nice. I am wondering whether there is a common area that A and B share since the wiki floor plan suggests that B is quite small with no closet, and have to share a bathroom with 3 other girls to boot.

do the first two numbers tell you floor?
and the last two tell you the room?

Yes and yes.

yup and there might be an A or B indicating the specific room within the suite

Does that A and B thing apply to Rubin as well?

what do you mean suite?
