<p>dont worry guys, i got the same thing(the student+parent news) in early december and i got into CAS ED</p>
<p>lol. when i got it i thought nothing of it. my dad actually threw it out :(
but then i came here and got all paranoid lol</p>
<p>Me too. My parents had to build an addition to the house AND convert the garage into a storage room to store all that mail from NYU. Wait, never mind...that was WUStL's stuff. I only have a pocket in a folder full of NYU stuff.</p>

<p>What's so bad about GSP? No wait, what exactly is GSP? I thought it was like some sort of honors program. I remember asking this question before but dammit it's too late to do short term memory checks.</p>

<p>I got in early decision and got the parent news too. Its just their mailings if you happen to be on one of their mailing lists.</p>
<p>yah that's just the stuff they send out reguarly- i've been getting it since sophomore year! everyone talked it up b/c ED too, it really means nothing.</p>
<p>Just got the Parents News thing today. Already listed my stats. I'm either flat out accepted or rejected; my SATs are fine, it's the GPA I'm worried about...</p>

<p>I can understand why everyone is so paranoid by receiving this as its been a while (for me atleast) that I had heard from NYU. However, I dont think it means much, they seem to be just general mailings. If you did or didn't get it don't sweat it too much I;m sure it has no indication on whether you will get into NYU or not.</p>

<li><p>Did anyone that already got into GSP get a parents news/student news brochure?</p></li>
<li><p>Did anyone that did NOT get into GSP (so far, at least) get a parents news/student news brochure?</p></li>

<p>I don't know if the brochure things mean anything.. But I just really want to know if they sent it to all 35000+ applicants.</p>
<p>i got a brochure and no gsp... 95 gpa (~10%) and 1350 sat, so im hoping that im in at CAS</p>

<p>3.4 GPA (top 12%) and a 1480 SAT.</p>
<p>i got the parent's news thingie....but i didn't get anything about GSP. all the gsp mailings would have been sent out by now right?</p>
<p>better question: did anyone not get the brochures?</p>
<p>also, if there is a connection between getting the brochure and something, don't assume its gsp. they could have sent brochures to all students they are going to reject or to all students they are going to accept. hopefully, its the latter.</p>
