<p>anyone a “national scholar”??? 1 of 56 in the nation??? what is this and is this based on merits or something else</p>
<p>My daughter's a "National Merit Scholar," 1 of 2,500 in the nation. She was rejected at Brown.</p>
<p>^^i received this from Brown in the acceptance package that they sent me. They said something about "university scholar" which adds on to my financial aid i think. I was just wondering is this based on merit or soemthing else such as need</p>

<p>The Brown scholarship is need based. The Ivy League doesnt grant academic or athletic scholarships</p>
