Hey, I am taking 3A this summer and I got the mean score on the first test (not good, but not bad, but I do hate chemistry). That means for the time being my grade is approximately a B-, right?

probably C or C+. B- if curve is generous. Whos your GSI? Couple of my friends are GSIing 3a this summer.

Lorelei Sabado

Pedersen said 15 or 20% A, 35% B for the curve
15 + 35 = 50%
20 + 35 = 55%,

I am at the mean, so that means 50% is above me, 50% below me.
The top 50-55% are the As and Bs

So shouldn’t I be between a C+ and B-

the mean and the median arent the same. this isnt a normal distribution so the mean could actually be less than the median implying u did worse than how u thought u did

besides, don’t worry too much about your grade at this point. I scored about the mean on 1st midterm for both 3a and 3b but owned the 2nd midterm and the final and got a good grade.

Is this for MCB? your always advocating against it lol

I am IB. All bio majors need Chem 3A
