Got the package Priority Mail Just now

yup, rice is awesome!

does anyone else agree that tomorrow is going to feel like the longest school day ever?

Yes....I am not looking forward to my classes tomorrow....the day will be definitely interminable. :(

i will be checking the computer constantly... maybe i'll drive to the post office early in the morning to see if they have my letter

Tomorrow, my classes end early at 1:00 pm, so I'm going to hunt down my mailman... and it won't be the first time that I'm waiting for him, standing next to the mailbox. ;)

you sound like a stalker... "hunt him down"... lay a trap at the mailbox, then when he is least suspecting it, spring up and get your letter

is tired, and hence found that quite funny ;)

I wish I had an early dismissal...but no...stupid ash wednesday liturgy....

Hahaha, welll... I wasn't planning on setting up a trap. :p I don't want to get on his BAD side, after all, he is the one who handles all the important college decision letters.

Get him a gift. Send him a Valentine, or better yet, buy a nice, big box of candy and give it to him tomorrow so you have a pretense for your stalking.

I gave my mailman a 50 dollar gift certificate... told him how many colleges I was applying to (22) and he said he understood and would be sympathetic to my frantic searches for letters from colleges

22? I applied to 7 and thought that was a lot....

Care to list those lucky 22 colleges? lol

omg 22??!! Haha, however did you manage to get them all done on time?

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Dartmouth
Cornell
University of Pennsylvania
Brown
Stanford
UC Berkeley
UC San Diego
UC Santa Barbara
Amherst
Williams
Rice
Tufts
Duke
Tulane
Washington University
Wesleyan

i'm using the shotgun approach... i want to hit at least a few of them

and yeah... the common app was my savior

bows down to semp, common app and general appmaster Hopefully you will hit a quite a few...so why all the nervousness about Rice? lol....

thanks, im nervous about rice because it will be the first good school i get in to(got in to tulane) and i like the rice/baylor program + as a future liberal politician, being form texas will be huge advantage, after all my idol LBJ was from texas

Tuition and all the extras will run you about $37-38,000/yr. (before any fin. aid) I know-- I write the cks to them! Figure all the NE schools at about 10k more than that. You'll be surprised by all the "extras" on the bill. This will give you an idea http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~cashier/Tuition%20and%20Fees%20(year%200405).htm#undergraduates
Don't have a heart attack, and definitely GO!!! My s. loves it!! Just be ready for a little sticker shock :)

How am I going to be able to afford Law School?

sempitern555: wow 22! i'm amazed. i thought 14 was crazy. good luck though! that must have taken a lot of work.

Son just received his acceptance. We have choices! (Texas)

WHOA!!! I shouldn't type early in the morning--- I hit the WRONG key!!!!! Tuition is more like 27-28K, NOT 37-38K!!!! I am SOOO sorry!! Didn't mean to give any of you a heart attack, though I almost had one when I read what I typed!!! The bottom line, not counting books or the residential college fees, will be closer to 30K. Sorry!! You can start breathing again now :)
