Got the Summer Bridge Scholarship

Should I take the offer? I currently don't have the money to pay for the $150 placement nor do my parents, but I could work to save up for the money. I also want to switch my major to engineering. Would going to this help me switch my major over with some consideration?

Off-topic, but does anyone know when the UCI Freshman Housing deposit of $350 due? I need to save up for that too :</p>

[FSSP: UC Irvine Summer Session: Freshman Summer Start Program](http://www.summer.uci.edu/fssp/)

Hmm. from the looks of that, it seems worth it? 4 units for filler credit and 4 units of GE is definitely worth $150 (compared to actual summer school), plus you get housing paid for. It also seems like you don’t go to SPOP, and SPOP costs around the same amount & spop is just for funs… since you’d probably rather save the money and not go to SPOP, you should do the summer bridge program to maybe meet other freshmen?
idk. it doesn’t seem like something that will make or break your college career.

hi JGod 93, you should totally do the Summer Bridge, it’s limited,
anyways, can you please tell me when you applied for Summer Bridge if you remember???

you are 1st generation and low income right?
im nervously waiting for mine :(

I applied some days, even weeks, earlier than the May 2nd deadline. I think it really was better to apply ASAP. I just turned in the 2010-2011 FAFSA and my application. I never turned in the Summer Financial Aid paper.

And yes, I’m pretty poor and am 1st generation :P
