We are contacting you because additional information is needed to complete your financial aid application. Please note that a decision on your admission application may not have been reached yet and this notification should not be construed as an indication, either way, of the outcome of your Boston University admission or financial aid application. Once your application is complete, we can consider your request for financial aid.

My financial aid status is similar on bu.edu/applicantlink

It says they require additional information. I am pretty sure I will be accepted at BU, so I am wondering what information they would need though???

all it says is additional information though
and they sent me a letter (but i haven’t received it yet)
i have the profile, fafsa, selective service form, and fafsa correction that they said they received.

Here is the entire thing it says online

"During our review of the information you reported on your financial aid application, we identified specific elements that require further documentation or clarification. For an explanation of exactly what you must provide, please refer to the letter recently sent to you or contact the Office of Financial Assistance at finaid@bu.edu or 617-353-2965. "

It could be a tax return, W-2, 529 Account Statement, it should be in the letter. Most if not all FA department are completely separate from admission departments. The letter means nothing regarding admission. Hang in there.

I got the same email as you and was sure I turned all my financial aid info, so I emailed them back and got a quick response saying that there was no need to worry and that everything was complete. I’m thinking maybe it was just an automatic email. You can check what “missing” items you have at the application status check website.
