We’ve got a brand new version of of our CC Mobile App for iPhone out, with the biggest change being the ability to browse [CampusVibe](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/vibe/]CampusVibe[/url]™”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/vibe/)™</a>; Visit Reports! If you aren’t prompted for an upgrade, or if you haven’t installed the app yet, you can go the the App Store and download it for free. It runs on all IOS devices, including the iPad.
One cool feature is that the app can be location-aware if you let it, so it can list the colleges closest to where you are. Or at least where your phone is. A couple of important points:
Visit Reports. Have you been visiting any schools this summer? It’s never too late to share your findings with fellow CC members! Just click over to CampusVibe - now, you’ll have an even bigger audience. Not only does your report help CC members who can’t visit the school, but it’s also a great review of your own experience there and will reduce the “blur factor” that comes from too many visits.
Mobile App FAQ and Support. If you are having a problem using the mobile app, before you give it a bad rating check our forum dedicated to the mobile apps:

You may find your answer there already, or you can interact with the actual CC developers who continue to make our apps better and better.
Sorry, Android users (I’m one!), there isn’t a new version yet, but the current app works very well for reading and posting in the forum. And iPad users (I’m one of those, too), you still have the iPhone app rather than a native HD version. Don’t worry, though, we’re continuing to roll out mobile features, watch for announcements!

Just wondering, the favorite forum functionality is gone from the latest version. You can favorite (subscribe) a topic.
Hi there fisherking, the favorite forum functionality still exists in this version. We have not changed it in any way. What are you seeing (or aren’t seeing really)?
Is there a way not to have to sign in every time? Old app, one time sign in New version, sign in every time. It does not take much time for the app to go inactive, and to require yet another sign in. I can’t find a setting to keep signed in.
Would love a way to remain signed in and to have a way to highlight my favorite forums. Any hope of getting my wishes?
Good morning @sunnyflorida and @Mezzo’sMama, making the sign in persistent should not be difficult at all. Let me see about getting that in for an update. Mezzo’sMama, what do you mean by “highlight” your favorite forums? Do you mean graphically or are you referring to some type of subscription that would then display in a list or something along those lines. Did you know that you can subscribe to your favorite topics and threads and these will show up in the Favorites section under the More area?

I clicked on “More” on the botton bar. Then I selected “Favorites”. I only see “Topics” as the only tab. Inside the area, I see “To subsribe a topic, use the “Subscribe” button when viewing a topic”.
I couldn’t find anywhere that I can make a forum as my favorite. Maybe I am missing something. I would appreciate any instruction.
@fisherking Hi again, you are correct that you cannot subscribe to a forum at all, but you can subscribe to a topic or thread. I realize now that after re-reading my response to you earlier I misspoke. I said “forum” and that was a mistake. We updated our forum engine with this last update as well and it does look as though the forum subscription option was removed. I will go get a solid answer on what happened to that…please hold 
Having to sign in every time is new and a pain. I don’t bother to use my iphone app anymore for CC. Too time consuming, too many things to click on and type in compared to before. Can’t find what I used to in 2-3 clicks. No fun anymore… Just saying… I have old hands and typing a screen name of 11 letters and a password of 8 every time, not worth it. Heaven forbid I make a mistake on my touch screen and have to do it all over again. Sorry but a great app went to a not so great app. And the app is freezing up more.
@sunnyflorida and @Mezzo’sMama, we have fixed the login persistence issue and we will be releasing an update here very soon. Once you update you should no longer have to retype in your user credentials. I hope this works better for you.
