So I just checked my grade and in one of my classes, the teacher put in 3 zeros for labs (worth 25% of our grade). I did these labs, and even helped other groups who were having trouble with them. I have the graded papers right now (he passed them out Thursday, which was the last day of school before the end of third quarter and spring break.

So over spring break, when I have no chance to show him, he puts the grades in and I went from a 96% to an 81%. I feel cheated...

I did ASAP. This has been a recurring thing all year but it was usually just small assignments that I figured didnt matter to raise the issue up with him. I have had it at this point…

You just need to go in after the break and show him the papers. If he says he will change the grade (but doesn’t), ask the office “if they have received the grade change yet that he said he would make”. One of my kids had a super flakey science teacher like this, did the same thing to her. Once he saw the graded papers, he agreed to make the change… then didn’t. She had to go see him twice. Finally after about a month I (parent) asked the high school office if they had received the promised change, and miraculously he got it done (I think they were used to this from this teacher).

As long as it is done before final reports are sent to colleges (probably around June), you are fine. But I would get on it right away so it doesn’t drag out.

Ugh, these types of things make my skin crawl in the event that you don’t get credit; It’s basically deterring your chance of getting into a good college all because someone else was too lazy to put the grade in.
