^ I suspect that is a mistake about Muhlenberg being rolling, since I can’t find a thing about rolling admissions on their website.

Rolling admissions would be great - if only I could get my kid rolling on his apps.

I keep telling DS how good he will feel when his apps are all in…

They don’t anymore…they have 2 different EA programs (EA and single choice EA, both of which are non-binding and decision given in mid-Dec) and RD (decision around April 1)

Correct - Tulane offers two types of EA.

However, they have been issuing acceptances for a couple of weeks now. Students who applied in September or early October, who have excellent grades and SATs, have been receiving acceptances:

Can’t stress enough to those applying to reach EA/ED to have a safety in that batch or a rolling in hand.

DS applied EA to 2 reaches only and had 2 deferrals in mid Dec. Depressed, he didn’t want to think about more college apps right then. I filled in the blanks on his State U Honors college app online (no essays), sent it off, and he had an acceptance within 3 days. Brought a smile to his face when it arrived even though he had no intention of matriculating there. Got him moving on his RD apps knowing someone wanted him.

Both Iowa and Iowa State have admissions based on a reaching a certain number of points based on ACT, class standing, courses, etc. Not sure if they are still rolling, but with this system you’ll have an admission slam dunk…

Rolling admissions are great for taking the stress out of the process. It’s a relief for them, and for us, to know that they’ll be going to college somewhere! I remember the sense of relief when the first acceptance came in.

While I am not an expert on Muhlenberg, I can tell you my dd applied there ED and everything we have read, know about it, talked about during her 3 visits, they are not “rolling”.

Good luck to all!

Drexel indicated by phone they are no longer doing rolling admission but on the Common Ap it still says RA and their website indicates they will begin reviewing applications in Oct so it sounds like they still sorta treat applications that way.

I’m not sure about rolling admissions but a ton offer non-restrictive early action … which can also be a huge help with safety/match level schools … getting an early admission takes a lot of pressure off and, IMO perhaps more importantly, might allow the application list to be pared down so the rest of the process is a lot less time consuming.

It appears that Drexel has started to admit applicants with high grades and SATs:

D was admitted to Ohio Wesleyan’s honors program through rolling admissions a week ago. (with wonderful merit aid). USNWR lists it as #101 LAC so I guess it’s “Top 100-ish”. She has others she’s hoping for but this is a very solid school and I’m so glad she applied because really felt good to get in.

Believe Beloit College is a top 100 LAC with two non-binding early action periods and a regular decision plan that is like rolling admissions after the first of the year (regular decision apps are evaluated and notified as they are completed).
