This is a FBLA conference I attended that develops in members leadership skills as well as networking and managerial skills through innovative, informative workshops. I helped and planned the 2007, 2008 conferences. I also presented workshops at the 2007, 2008 conferences. </p>

<p>FBLA Section and State Officer Leadership Summit 2007,2008
This is an FBLA conference exclusively held for section and state officers. I learned to represent myself in a professional manner as well as the procedures in how to run a business.</p>

<p>Tournament of Roses Student Ambassador - 12th - As a student ambassador, I help the Tournament of Roses prepare and run the Rose Parade and volunteer at the preparade and post parade activities. This activity is only available to seniors and students from schools that can send candidates for the Rose Court. I have contributed 100+ hours through this program.</p>

<p>Youth in Government - 11th - Honorary Parks and Recreation Director - I shadowed my city's park and recreation director and participated in a mock meeting simulating a city council meeting. This program is only available to juniors and seniors and it hasn't started up yet this year, but when it does I want to participate again!</p>

<p>National Honor Society - 12th - Service Coordinator - Members are required to have a 3.5 GPA and as an officer I help members find students in need of help to tutor. I also tutor! This program is only available to seniors.</p>

<p>California Scholarship Federation - 10th, 11th, 12th, members - Members need to achieve a certain number of points based on their grades in order to be a member. Members tutor at the local elementary school. Students can be members after first semester 10th grade year.</p>

<p>LA Arboritum Ecological Hunt
The LA Arboritum holds an annual Ecology Faire and during the Ecology Faire there is a competition call the Ecological Hunt. Each school submits a team of five to this competition. The competition entails a scavenger hunt and a biology/ecology quiz. The team must use clues to find all the stations and answer the essay questions based on wildlife in the arboritum at the stations while answering the quiz!

<p>Royal Family Kids' Camp - camp counselor in training (CIT) - a week long Christian summer camp for children ages 7-12. I was not a counselor because I'm not 18. As a CIT, I helped the counselors with their charges and I helped during crafts, field sports, prayer, and pool time. I was part of the dance committee and we made dance moves for all the camp songs!</p>

<p>You’re an Asian female from that state of California…That’s going to hurt you significantly lol. You’ve got some pretty solid depth with FBLA, decent awards, decent grades. I’d say match to the UC’s, reach at Yale, Stanford, and Columbia.</p>
