HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!! I would have posted this tomorrow, but I may be too busy for CC.

Have you no sense of priority?

Haha, I guess not.

so do your parents still give you an easter basket/cash too?

I guess I'll get something... probably a case of Diet Sunkist-- I gave it up for Lent. :)

How many of you guys give up stuff for lent, and how many of you stick with it? I'm not very religious (and not Christian) so I didnt give up anything.

I didn't give anything up. I'm Roman Catholic, but we only get to mass like every other week. I can never think of anything to give up, however, I did start exercising more than usual, but not every single day.

I have a question about Lent-- everyone said that I could drink Diet Sunkist on Sundays, but I didn't. It felt like a cop-out to me.

Yeah I don't think that's how it's supposed to go......plus Diet Sunkist isn't huge..just drink regular sunkist.

eww, too sweet... I was a diet sunkist addict. I would drink 6 or 7 a day.

I surprised myself by not really replacing it with anything... I guess I hace an addictive personality.

I know~~ I get a large iced coffee and a cinnamon raisin bagel every morning from DD and there is no way I could give that up since it is the highlight of my day.

Oh, I wish we had a DD.

I was surprised when the new McDonald's coffee wasn't awful.

There are at least 6 or 7 Dunkin Donuts within 8-15 miles of me, so I'm surrounded. There are also about 5 or 6 malls within 20-25 miles. It's crazy and I don't even wanna talk about the number of McDonald's. It's to the point where the only things I'll drink are iced coffee(hot if im desperate), oranage vitamin water/regular water, or diet coke if im really desperate.

I'm big on water, coffee, OJ, frappuccinos (I really like the real frappuccinos from Starbucks, but we don't have any of those, so I get the bottled ones from convenience stores)... thats about it. I don't drink any sodas besides Diet Sunkist.

i'm roman catholic, but didnt give up anything for lent. i actually think i ate meat on good fridays and things. i gotta slap myself.

OJ and citrus drinks literally rip apartmy mouth and leave me with cold sores...i'm not even joking. I HATE gatorade and most sports drinks, so vitamin water was suprising because it tastes mostly like water and not like nasty syrup.

on another note though, i have to admit im not looking forward to the extra long easter mass where people have to stand in the back all mass because all the selective churchgoers appear for easter and christmas.

oh yeah prepkid, the no meat thing. im a vegetarian, so i guess that can be my lent even though i dont plan on going back to meat after lent nor did i eat meat long before lent, but still..i can just say that to sound official.

Its the same way with Easter and Christmas at my church (Methodist).

It kills me that almost nobody comes to the Good Friday service, yet I have to stand in the doorway every Easter.

^so true. churches get so crowded with people who never set foot in there unless it's easter, christmas, and perhaps new year.

we also have a pretty big crowd for Thanksgiving.

go figure.

i think it's the guilt a christian or catholic has that brings them to church on special occasions. other weekends, they are like 'i'm too busy'....
