Goucher

Has anyone here gone to Goucher or know somebody that has attended/will be attending? I am looking at Goucher as a sure-match kind of thing where I could maybe get good merit aid. I have talked to the track/cross country coach and would run for the school (being one of the top runners). I have a 4.0uw gpa and ok SATs (I've only taken them once and will try again) 590m, 680v, 670w. I should have done better in the math section considering that I took AP calc this past year (junior year) and am taking calc II at a local University next year. (I did really well in calc). So I'll take the SATs next October in hopes of raising my scores. Do you think I could get a good merit aid package?

Other interesting facts:
Mainer
Envirothoner
JETs member
3 y-old brother + 1 y-old brother (could make for good essay)
Run all three seasons (New England Qualifier), 2 year Captain xc team
Advanced art Classes
A "Court" club
Book Club

How do your times match with the runners on the Goucher track team?

MY sisters friend went there She loves all of her friends liked it(i was w/ them yesterday-Bridal shower) And some of them still live in MD but Aly(sister-friend) lives in CO..she seems to enjoy it all..I hope this is helpful

I mean in this is the most modest way possible... I would probably be the top runner there or at least in the top 3. The coach said I would be one of the best he's ever had. Thanks for all the help!!! Anyone else have specific feelings on the school?

My impression is that you would need somewhat higher SATs to get an academic merit scholarship. I don't know about money for good runners.

Goucher's Division III, so there are no athletic scholarships.

I know that, it just might give me a boost in admissions

If you want to send me a PM with your times and events, I might be able to make some suggestions. My son just went through the track/cross country recruiting process.

Thanks so much
