Government in the College Vs. SFS

I'll be a freshman in the College next year and I plan on being a government major. While government with a concentration in American politics is my first passion, almost everything else I want to pursue is in the SFS.

I was just wondering what people know about the government/polisci department in the College. How are the professors? Is it a pretty popular major or are most of the political junkies at Gtown SFS students? Finally, how hard would it be for me to transfer into the SFS for my sophomore year?

Thanks in advance everyone!

I think it's a very popular major. They made it "sound" like transferring to SFS isn't that difficult. You have to apply and write a letter to the Dean. I get the feeling that they would help you know what to do with that. Then again, I also have a feeling that Gtown is not as flexible as it likes to claim.
