<p>Carolyn--so sorry... i didn't mean argue in a perjorative sense. However, I did sense some philosophical differences in our outlooks, and I like you too much to want to continue the discussion, even though I agree it's possible to discuss civilly. Plus, I was ticked off at Lovejoy's assumption.</p>
<p>The original thread topic is too vital to me, and to the students I work with. I laid out my experiences and what i know to be true, and that's enough.</p>
<p>Thanks for clarifying Garland - I also respect your opinion and actually agree with you on many topics. As I've stated, I do think the Pell Grant program is vital and I speak from personal experience when I talk about the difference it can make. Do take a look at the thread I just started on the Canadian system and tell me what you think. Do you think it would help the students you work with more than our current system?</p>
