What can someone do with a B.A. in government and a minor in computer science? I plan to attend law school, but only a year after graduation. I need to find a job to save some money so that I can move to attend law school. Thanks!

You should search the internet for occupations available to those with degrees in government (or political science as it is more often called). The poster UCLAri might have some information as well.

In modern America, many people get jobs only somewhat related to not that related to their undergraduate degree.

Thanks for responding. Any other advice would be great. Thanks again DRab.

I would love to know that too. I am a Junior at high school and really planningon doing Poli Sci with studies in Economics and Philosophy so I was wondering what I could do with that.

Poli sci isn't really a vocational degree. It's not like you get a poli sci degree and all of a sudden can do "X, Y, or Z." It opens many doors, including government (not politics), business, teaching, analysis, and grad school.

I went and taught English in Japan for a year before returning to get my master's in international relations.

JasonTx,

If you have a year to burn, GO ABROAD. Trust me.
