Governor asks for $3.6 billion for State Universities (an increase of $270 million)

Gov. Charlie Crist unveiled his $66.5 billion budget proposal for the 2009–2010 fiscal year on Friday.</p>

<p>Under his proposal, the state’s universities will get almost $3.6 billion, including tuition revenues, which is about $270 million more than the amount set aside by the current year’s budget, according to Crist’s budget Web site.</p>
