Which do you like best? And how does it work for your family financially?

if i had to choose between the two i would choose govs academy.

I would too. My family really liked them a lot. Plus they respect you enough to not ask you to pay for an extra year. Go for it!

My father went to Brooks and still attends the reunions. Harvard followed Brooks with WWII in between. Ever since I was a little boy I had been going up to Brooks with Dad and my brother for reunions. Neither my brother nor I followed our father to Brooks. Actually Dad did not have a problem with that since he was not too keen on the new (2nd) Headmaster back in the '70’s. I believe that Brooks is now on it’s 4th Headmaster which I find to be an extraordinary sign of good stewardship since it’s conception. My son played them in sports for 4 years enabling me to visit the school on numerous occasions. Despite the athletic competitiveness, my son did praise Brooks sportsmanship and that they were “good guys”.

Brooks has an incredible overseas program. The facilities, faculty are fantastic, the indoor rowing facility is state of the art and their college matriculation list is not so shabby.

I’ll also say that Brook’s DOA has to be one of the most perceptive and competent DOA that I have ever met.

My bias of course leans heavily towards Brooks, another one of those hidden gems that just doesn’t get enough play here on CC.

Go to the revisits and do your best to visualize your self there for the next 3-4 years. Go with what gut tells you, there’s your answer.
