Governor's School Alumni (pitt campus) applying!

I recently attended the Governor's School for Health care during the summer for five weeks. During these weeks, I stayed at Brackenridge Hall and basically had courses and such at the school of medicine. I'm planning to apply to the guaranteed dental program and was wondering how much this would help in admissions. The requirements are top10% (which i am just outside of) and a 1300 SAT. I have around a 1270. What do you guys think?

I wouldn’t worry too much about getting a dental school guarantee. Even with the guarantee, you would have to maintain a 3.8 average. That’s pretty close to impossible for anyone, given the courses you would be taking. My daughter’s roommate last year was premed, and it is really really tough at Pitt. I imagine predental would be similar.
