Interested in hearing anyone's thoughts/experiences about the Governor's Academy. Thanks!

I know a young woman who was just graduated from Governor’s. I have known her most of her life. Smart, engaging, warm, an outstanding human being on every level. She loved Governor’s.

do they take applications after 3/10?

Good school. Tough to get in due to their standing as a safety for those applying to Andover et al. Their app pool get a big bump in caliber of candidates as a result so they have the luxury of picking the cream of the crop.

Boarding School Review shows a 29% admission rate for Governor’s, which I guess could be considered selective/tough, if not as much as the HADES schools at ~15%.

Does anyone know about the school’s strengths/attributes? What about GA’s ports or other extracurriculars?

Thanks!

Governor’s is a very nice school. I attend rival Middlesex and looked into governors myself. Generally, Governors is known as a school with good academics (though not as rigorous workload as top tier ISL or HADES schools) and strong athletics. This is the perspective of not only me, but students and Teacher friends I have at Middlesex and some at Phillips Andover.
