GPA a bit too low for program requirements

The program that I’m applying to wants a 3.5 and a 1300 SAT minimum. My weighted GPA is 3.43 and SAT is far beyond the requirements; 1410. Do I still have a chance? For reference the college is a local college PA program.

I also took all honors courses and AP courses when possible.

Put in an application and see what happen.

You may want to contact the department head or your admissions rep. to ask if you would be considered for the program with your stats.

Does the program look for anything outside of GPA/SAT? Do you have any compelling activities…ex. have you shadowed a PA, have you volunteered in the medical field etc.

There is no way to know what admissions will decide. Is the GPA they are using weighted or unweighted? Do they take anything else into account? If you make the cut, are you guaranteed a spot? You can certainly email your admissions rep but I think your best shot is making sure the rest of your app is really strong.

Fingers crossed for you.

Most likely having the minimum requirements would not guarantee admission.

Depends on the wording of the college’s statement. Since you did not give a link to the statement, others can only guess. You can ask directly if you are not sure.
