I mean I have called them. I swear Im not pulling it out of my butt lol. I’ve asked every UC. Only UCLA and UCB reads it. I guess things have changed in a month lol.

I registered this site because of this thread!
I have a 3.304 gpa… sucks i know…
I applied UCB, UCD, UCSD, UCSB all in Film studies/media studies major, Legal Studies for UCSC. I applied TAG for UCSC, but was rejected in mid-Nov…
I’m a transfer from ccc, I’ve finished my IGECT or GE in this fall. I have about 52 UC transferable units…

I wonder how big my chances are… sigh…

BTW, is film studies/media studies an non-impacted major at those school?

@andromedan why was your tag for ucsc rejected? I had a 3.08 when I applied for mine and 30 units exactly and mine was approved. That’s just crazy

@ acousticklitty does college algebra count as a statistics course?

well it says I don’t have “proficiency” english. I have to have B or better on both English 122 and 126… I had a C on 122, but my 126 was A though… actually i earned an A on journalism (that was a hell lot of writing! Even more than all the english classes i’ve took! But I make it!) anyway… blame it on my bad luck… now i have no TAG, no backups… T T

I’m sorry, that sucks. Your GPA is decent though i’m sure you’ll get into UCSC through regular admission ^^

Thank you! But I feel really bad about my apps… I wish I could have worked harder in the past two years… sigh!!!

me too. I’ve gotten 3 bad grades in community college. 2 C’s and 1 D and I wish I would’ve retaken that D class but I never did. Now my GPA is suffering bc of it.

same here… I have a D too, but I had academic renewal on it, so its gpa doesn’t count anymore… but i still have Cs… now my gpa is 3.3… mind if I ask yours and what you applied?

Andromedan: I got a B in 122 and an A in 126. As long as you passed, you meet the English requirements. Are you at DVC?

Edit: oops. I didn’t read your previous posts. Disregard what I said lol.

“As long as you passed, you meet the English requirements.” --exactly! anyway…
wow! right, i’m at DVC. how did you figure that out?

I took 122 and 126 too! I believe DVC only uses those numbers to name the classes :D

crap…I didn’t know that… hahaha
I thought all CCC use same courses numbers…

Good luck to you fellow student! We’re at DVC and it has a reputation of sending students to good UCs.

@vikram298 yes it does… but i doubt i might gonna draw its reputation down a bit if I got rejected by every school i applied…which is very likely to happen…

@andromedan my GPA is 3.29
and I applied to all uc’s except SB Cal and LA
and my major is US History

@uchappytrain thank you. let’s hope we all can get in. finger crossed!

ye i have a 3.28 gpa …

UChappytrain: Hm I’m not sure if algebra will count. On your igetc sheet, is it listed next to stats?

@Kitty on my IGETC form from my CC it doesnt have a stats section. it has a “mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning” area in which college algebra does fulfill the requirement. and on my TAG agreement it said I had fulfilled the math requirement also
