GPA advice?

Im in 11th, gpa is 1.64, and i have A's B's(and a B in one AP class but an A in this quarter), and 2 Ds this year on overall i predict, and im wondering what is a possible gpa I can get to by the end of 12th since I decided I would try this year.

Im also doing a pep enrollment program with a community college here in baltmore, and im going to try my ass off and atleast make it to maryland university for ComputerScience (Thats the Ap im taking and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!)

Well, assuming you got straight As (4.0) the entire year, you would have a 2.23.

But even if you got all As senior year, you won’t get into University of Maryland because your GPA would simply be too low. You’ll have to do community college somewhere for a while if you want to get into anywhere half-decent.

is there a gpa calculator? and what would my gpa be after senior if i did good, i think md needs atleast a 2.7 and a good sat which i know i will do good in (the math parts ;D ) and if i have a 2.2 now , maybe if can get a 2.8 or a 3 if i pick my classes right? sorry for my typing, im on my phone.

Doesn’t really matter what it will be after senior year, because they use the one from 11th grade, and just review your mid-year 12th grade transcript.

Oh, and [url=<a href=“http://gpacalculator.org/]GPA”>http://gpacalculator.org/]GPA Calculator - How to Calculate Grade Point Average/url

Ahh i see thank you!

the calculator says i’ll have a 3.18 ;p im not sure I used it right, i put my honors and ap classes in there and thats what it weighted me :P

A Standerd
A Honors
B Honors
A Standered
B Ap ( or an A im not sure… :P)
D Standered (I hate chem)
D Standered (I hate history)

i’m too lazy to calculate it but there’s no way it would jump that much even if u get all A’s. Maybe I’m wrong since ur GPA is soooo low but still even with all A’s i don’t think u would be at the 3 range. colleges look at all the years too not just the year u tried. sorry i don’t want to sound mean but that’s just reality.

Yeah, you did something wrong in the math. There’s absolutely no way you can salvage your GPA that much. You’re not going to break 3.0.
