Recently I learned that I could transfer my credits from my college to a local CC to save some money. I was told whatever they accept the grade won't be transfers, but the class.

Does this mean if enough credits transferred me to become a sophomore, for example, my sophomore gpa there is the only thing that colleges of my choices will be looking at? I'm not planning on going back to the same school. Will a university treat me differently? Do they see two previous school credits on 1 transcript?

Transfer colleges will ask for copies of transcripts from ALL prior attended colleges… so no matter how nicely cleaned up it looks at the CC (even if the CC combines the classes from your first school on it), the transfer schools will still see your first transcript because you need to send it both transcripts (school #1 and the CC).

Even so, get good grades and 80% of transfer colleges will look at grade trends and not spend a lot of time worrying over a rough start at school #1.

thanks annikasorrensen for replying. i appreciate it. my grades weren’t that bad. i left the school with a 3.1. I have a few B-es (English com 2 and college math) and C+ (US history) that i wouldn’t want my future uni to see because i am determine to become a B+ and up student. If those classes transfer and If they must see it… fine.
