Guys im a junior and wandering how much do colleges look into GPA. I must admit my gpa is not very good, about 3.4 now but I am taking ap classes, already took 4 and taking 4 this year. Would that help me? or do colleges look very well into gpa?

I think GPA is usually the factor given most weight in admissions decisions. An upward trend in grades and taking challenging courses can help so do your best in your AP classes this year.
SO with GPA around 3.4 is what might make colleges reject me even through I am taking the most challenging classes school has to offer?

3.4 on a 4 pt or 5pt scale? 3.4 on a 4 pt scale, it’s not really that bad, considering how many AP classes you’re taking. And if you have good test scores and good essays, you’ll probably still be able to get in a lot of really good places. But if it’s a 3.4/5.0 your options might be more limited…

It depends on what schools you’re looking at.
While it wouldn’t necessarily eliminate you from a school like HYP, those schools have plenty of applicants with much stronger gpa’s.
