Can you get into Dartmouth with a 3.6/4.1 with amazing international and national recognition ECs?

Yes, you can. Your application is looked at holistically, so there really aren’t any “requirements” you need to fulfill.

What’s your idea of amazing? And what are your scores?

2270 M: 790, CR: 750, W: 730
U.S. History: 720; Lit: 720

Competing internationally for the United States and being top ranked nationally in my sport as well a President of a 800+ national non-profit club and several other leaderships things.

Scores are strong, hard to say about the rest without knowing details. If your GPA puts you at a decent rank–meaning you don’t look like a slacker–yes, it’s possible.

I usually try to stay away from these “Am I good enough for X school” threads, but seeing as your scores and GPA are not far from my own (check my post history), I would like to reassure you that it is very much possible. Again as hmom5 said, it’s difficult to determine the value of a GPA without a rank or without the knowledge of how strong your high school is. 3.6 UW at many top boarding schools could easily place one into an ivy. Myself, I have not yet achieved an international award, nor am I an URM or hooked in such a way. Thus, I would like to assure you that you’re not completely out of the running. Please also note, that there are many many presidents of clubs among the applicants at any top tier school, and an admissions officer will likely value your particular sport in how much he or she believes that sport can contribute to the school community. In any case, you’ve submitted your application already, and there’s nothing you can do. Take it easy and Good lucK!
