GPA and Grades

Hi,
I got my quarter 1 report card today (I realize in the end GPAs are cumulative over 2 quarters). I’m rather worried, as it stated I had gotten a 3.5 GPA for my first quarter. My grades are as follows:
Algebra 2 - 100.0

Bible - 96.0

English - 97.0

Forensics/Debate II - 98.0 (Honors)

Health - 99.0

Physical Science - 95.0

Spanish 2 - 97.0

World History - 95

Over this first semester my grades have fluctuated between 95.0-100.0. They have never gone below 95, and I’m not planning on it (Since this report card my World History and Bible grade have gone up).

My guidance counselor said that my school does not use an A-/+ grading scale; an A is an A. Unless I don’t understand, shouldn’t I have gotten a 4.0 GPA?

Definitely ask your school – that’s weird.

See guidance, usually a 95+ is a 4.0… And a lower A is still usually a 3.7 so I don’t see where a 3.5 average comes from

Sorry for the late reply, just wanted to make closure on this. The 3.5 ended up being an error on the schools end (according to my counselor), and has since, been fixed.
