I've heard a bunch about medical schools and GPA and aren't very sure about where I might fit in. I am currently hovering around a 3.4 or 3.5 at UC Berkeley. I haven't taken the MCAT yet, so I'd really just like to get a picture. Also, I will be doing research this summer at a Berkeley lab (and hopefully into the upcoming Fall) and will also shadow doctors (including a UCSF resident). I am involved in intramural sports and also have a part-time job (unrelated to medicine).

Should I be worried, or will I be somewhere in the middle? Obviously unless I pull a stellar MCAT score out, I'm not a highly qualified med school candidate. For example, is a 10-15 ranked med school out of the question? And are there some California med schools that seem reasonable? Thanks for the help!!
