GPA and SAT don't match

Yes… I agree with you on all fronts m2ck. We have had the discussion with DS about working as hard as he can this year. He understands the money aspect and what we are dealing with. We are very low income and he attends his school on a scholarship right now. He does try hard in school, but is slightly ADHD and has a hard time with details and focus. He is also taking a couple AP’s this year. I believe he will do better in the AP’s, as he tends to do better the more challenged he is. I think a lot of things hinge on his achievement this year. He doesn’t want to go to a state school because he prefers a smaller school. I agree with him on that… He would not do well in a huge school with big classes. His school is a top private prep school where 50-60% go on to top 20 schools. A 3.1 GPA is not necessarily low at his school where there is NO grade inflation and most kids graduate under a 4.0 UW. I do believe… or should I say hope, that he will end up with a 3.4 or 3.5.
