okay.
-so i went to a private school.
-I got straght A's freshman year.
-I switched to a HUGE public school...
...and
-my GPA plummeted.

from a 4.0 to a 3.45

as a result i am looking for a small college... but i was also wondering if there was some way i could give an explanation as to why my grades went the direction they went in.

and if i can, how should i go about doing that?

my explanation:
i do well in small schools. in my public school the teachers hardly remember your name.
i also do a LOT better in discussion based classes as opposed to lectures. my old school provided this.
also, the transition was difficult for me because i had to leave all my friends and teachers i had known for 10 years. i would have stayed but i couldn’t financially.

i guess the main thing is the learning style was so different… and detached. sophomore year was awful academically.
