Hello! I hope everyone is safe. I have a question on how UCs (Univ of California Colleges) calculate the overall gpa during their admission process. Since I am transferring from a CCC to UC, I was wondering what is the LAST semester of grades they take when they calculate the GPA. Since I am going to apply during the Fall this year, does that mean that this Fall will be the last semester they will take my grades into account of their admission decision? Or will the last semester be at the end of the summer session? Thank you!
They will take into account your grades from the Fall 2020 semester. You won’t be finished with the classes yet when you submit the UC application, but you have to do the TAU (transfer academic update) in January. This is how you inform the UCs of your fall grades, and you can also notify them if you changed which courses you are planning to take during the spring semester.
