I’m going into my sophomore year later this month, and after a less than successful freshmen year, I need to raise my GPA. I got a 3.3 Cum my freshmen year. The future college program I’m looking at I need a 3.75 GPA to get into. Is it at all possible to raise my GPA that much by the time it comes to applying to colleges. Please, please, help I’m super worried, my GPA has never been so low!
To do this calculation for you, we’d have to know more information, like how many credits/units you took.
7 credits fresh. year
If you take seven credits every year, each year will count equally. 3.3 + sophomore + junior + senior, all divided by 4, must equal 3.75 or more. If you get all A’s every year, (3.3 + 4 + 4 + 4)/4 = 3.83, for example. That should probably be your goal…however, when you apply to colleges, you will only have your first three years to show them.
Thank you very much. The program I wanted to get into was the pharmacy 0-6 program at Toledo University School of Pharmacy, and after speaking to the enrollment management specialist at the School, she said if I get in on normal time, then in the summer of 2018 they look at program acceptance. Thank you very much for your help!
