I agree 100% with Elleya. To be honest, I have no clue what my class rank is, I think it’s 25%+ I really couldn’t care less about it. All you have to do is continue and enjoy yourself in high school and get good grades/test scores.

Assuming that #20 has the GPA 97.3, and that your cumulative GPA to this point is 94.125 (you were kinda unclear), you would need a 103.65 to get up to a 97.3 next year.

I don’t think you should be in the top 20 of your school if you can’t do the basic algebra required to figure out this problem.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but the only way you could get into the top 20 is if enough people in the top 20’s grades go down 11th & 12th grade by a good amount. If you were to get all 100s from now until the end of senior year, you would only have a ~97.1, still lower than the 18th person in class, assuming their grades don’t slip.

Hey, I’m not saying it’s impossible - kids above you WILL slip. If a top student’s grades drop at any point in their high school career, it’s definitely going to be their junior year. But just remember - that potential drop in grades can easily happen to you too.

I totally agree with rob. People slip. I was 6th in my class and got one D in a class and boom! Down to 12th. But what they don’t know is I’m coming for them. Whether they know it or not >:] By the end of my high school career I will have a 3.93(UW). Hopefully it’s high enough :/

I have certain circumstances that this year might hve excused. Honestly though, this year I have to put more effort in. Come for people when they’re down, that’s how its done!
