<p>I did not have the greatest freshman year and got a gpa of a 2.9, however my sophomore year gpa was a 3.61 and junior gpa year was a 4.1
Does anybody know any colleges that when recalculating your gpa put little to no emphasis on freshman year and more on junior and senior year besides the UCs and McGill?? And where can I find out the different ways certain colleges calculate gpa when admitting students?</p>
<p>The only other one I know of is Princeton which doesn’t help you. Unfortunately you’ll need to look at the schools web sites to see if they use freshman year grades. Most schools aren’t very forthcoming on whether they recalculate or use the HS GPA as is.</p>
<p>It would probably more helpful if you listed where you’re interested and then others could respond if they know anything about those schools specifically!</p>
