an A-.. .but it's not any easier than in America I'm sure since 90-100 range is pretty damn hard like 1-3 people have that in a class and maybe 5 80-90s

blame our government. i'd rather have your system because every time I question what I could do to improve a 89 or something I get these comments like you already have an A... or that's quite good.. or even low 90s.. like mid 90s are just never given out. what's the highest mark you've given out sir? 95. ohh. .okay.

Here are my grades 9-11, everything including electives (except gym).
Can someone PLEASE calculate the:
California GPA (for San Francisco State and Cali State Fresno)
Regular Unweighted GPA
4.0 GPA scale with extra points for honors (like how do I know how many extra points for honors?!?)

I want to get the two california school apps out atleast by saturday, then I want to work on my University of Washington application during the weekend and send it out before Dec 1.

Would the Computer Science class in Sophemore year count towards the GPA? I don't think so, but my counselor said it should as a math class and I'm like No i dont think so but she kept saying yea and send in the higher GPA.

I know that she calculated it wrong and she just doesnt want to do it correctly because she doesn't do out of state apps I'm like the only one from my school applying to the opposite coast and it's frustrating because I have to do all the work just because "we don't do these things all the time"

I tried to do the calculations but I doubt they are right (I didn't add any extra points because I dont know how many to add and like how to add its so confusing)..
I got a 3.14 for 9, 10, 11 grades Unweighted using the California equation
I got a 3.04 for 10, 11 grades Unweighted using the California equation (because they ask for 10, 11, 12 grades but I only have 10 and 11 grades seeing as I'm currently in 12th grade).

I'm so confused because I dont know how many points to assign to each one, whether to include the +'s and how many extra points blah blah i've got the biggest migraine for the past week trying to figure it out and I've called the two California schools, one of them has not gotten back to me in days and the other one is ALL AUTOMATED there is NO one to talk to.

PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAASE i would appreciate someone calculating the GPAs for me!

Anyone? PLEASEEEEEEEEE! I want to send these out tomrrow, Saturday!

Can anyone do the calculation for me?

Can ANYONE do these calculations? PLEASEEEEEEEE

i got a 3.454286 unweighted based on 35 classes using the folling scale
A+ 4.3, A 4, B+ 3.3, B 3, C+ 2.3

See thats like completely different than what I got and my counselor got. I dont know what to do. I dont know what GPA to put on the application!?!?

Should I Just put the highest and have the california schools recalculate the GPA by themselves? Or will putting an off GPA terminate my chances at the school???????? AJSF:LKSJFL:KSDJF:L i hate this so much

Your best bet is to get a copy of your schools profile which is sent to the colleges as it tells you how grades are calculated and courses that are required for graduation

Open an excel spread sheet

In one column list courses (remove all electives)
in column 2 list grades
Colum 3 list the point value

Add up the total number of points
divide by the total number of courses

Sybbie, that conversion scale you used is for students ENROLLED in college. For admission purposes A+, A, and A- = 4. B+,B,B- = 3, etc.

????????????

For admission purposes A+, A, and A- = 4. B+,B,B- = 3, etc.

GPA is calculated in a pretty standardized way mainly on a 4.0 scale (unweighted because elite colleges beleive that you should normally be taking the most rigerous curriculum offered and many schools do not weight for the same work
