gpa drop in HS junior year

though first semester of my junior has not ended
i feel like i really screwed up this semester

i did badly on my fisrt semester of sophomore year (with one AP and 2 honors and 1 advanced class which doesn't count as honors class) but i improved a lot in the second semester with only one B in the AP class

this year
i have one regular class, 3AP's, and 2 honors
at the end of the semester i think i will get:
Hon Spanish B
AP Comp.Govt B
APUSH A
Psyhology A
AP Eng B or A
Hon Math Analysis B or A

this doesnt seem so bad
but i only have a slight chance to get an A in AP Eng and Math Analysis
does 4 B's look really bad for colleges?

and i don't have an outstanding extracurricular and community services
i am currently participating in Model UN
is that a good extracurricular activity?

and i've taken the SAT once last december with score of 1950
i'm gon try to get 2200+

i really want to get into USC, UCLA, UCB, DUKE, STANFORD(which i don't think i have a chance)

would it be really hard for me to get in those colleges with my current grade,
or am i giving myself too much of a burden?

Im in CA, by the way

They don’t look “really bad” by any means. Just work harder next semester, take some good courses senior year, and you’ll be okay!

Not really bad at all, but not in the range of quality expected of most applicants to the schools you listed.

YOur current stats match to the mid-tier UCs (SB, I, D), possibly UCSD as a reach. Those are all great schools.

Your stats also match to mid-ish tier Privates like Miami, Tulane, SMU, BU, Syracuse, etc., with NYU as a reach.

I say this assuming that in the two tweener classes, Math Analysis, and English, that you get a B in one and an A in the other.

P.S. You didn’t specify how badly you did 3rd Semester… Mostly Bs is obviously worse than half As and half Bs.
