GPA Dropping after pledging?

If I was to join a sorority, would my GPA drop as much as the guys that pledge to frats?

In other words, is the pledging process for a sorority just as GPA-tolling as the process for a frat pledge?

no. pledging for girls is bonding with the girls in your pledge class and your chapter though sisterhood events, philanthropy, parties, etc. and being showered with gifts from your big. definitely not intense at all.

I hate when ifc/panhel correlates gpa with pledging/hazing intensity. every major is different, and classes for each major change in difficulty every semester. some people take classes that overlap with their aps first semester so then they get worse grades 2nd semester when they take harder classes. some people join lots more activities 2nd semester besides a house, and shear volume of commitments take away from study time. there are so many factors that go into gpa besides a house, its really not fair to penalize the house.

i would say that time management is the reason GPA drops…

we can blame the IFC/panhel for that. especially those houses which penalize students for not showing up to events…
