GPA for college applications

I am a junior this year and I've started looking at colleges. My school uses weighted GPAs on a 4.8 scale, but all of the college admissions criteria talk about GPAs on a 4.0 scale. Does anyone know how a GPA is changed from a 4.8 scale to a 4.0 scale? I am probably too nervous about this, but any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

no clue. try recalculating based on this:
A=4
B=3
C=2
D/F=1

add up all the points, divide by the number of classes.

Yes, you are too nervous about this. Because so many schools compute GPAs differently the college will recalculate it to their scale. Don’t worry about it.
