Gpa Gpa Gpa Gpa

On the UC Application, I can't find where we self-report our GPA?? Do we not report it on the transfer app?

im applying for intercampus uc to uc transfer btw

You're right I didn't see any place to report the actual gpa other than just reporting your grades in completed classes, which is pretty much the same thing. On that note, when do we have to have our transcripts sent to the schools we are applying to? I too am applying as an inter-UC transfer. Also, do you know if we have to sent in our SAT scores as well?

i have the same question...
and, do we have to report our spring quarter classes/grades? how else will they know we've fulfilled all the prereqs?

you dont have to send transcripts to the schools you are applying to, only the one you end up choosing to go to.
i'm not sure if they ask everyone to update their grades or not...ive heard that sometimes they ask you to update your grades, and sometimes they dont. apparently its deemed as bad if they ask you to do so because you dont appear as a strong candidate without having to update...?? is this true?

all UC applicants have to update their fall grades sometime in the spring.
they dont, however, ask for spring grades

so where do we report gpa~~ =O

Nowhere....... They Will Automatically Do It For You When You Submit.

Just Make Sure You List Alllllll Your Classes Youve Taken, Even If You Have A W Or An F. They Will Do The Calculations Themselves, And No, You Will Not Find Out. It Should Be The Same As The One You Add Up By Yourself.

you dont need to submit your gpa for the application. They will know when you send you application

So they make all admission decisions without ever handling your actual transcript, just by what is reported on the UC application? I find that hard to believe. What if you have taken a number of honors sections that show honor credit on your transcript but don't add any to your total units? How would they ever see those?

hmm yeah when do we send in transcripts >_>
(never thought of that)

bump...anyone know?

Its just like high school admissions. They don't want tons of scrap transcripts from people they will reject. They'll admit you based on what you say on your app, then they'll request your transcript. If it doesn't match, guess what? They give you the boot.

As for the honors credit, you should have reported that in the comments section after the personal statement section. There it asks for any other scores that you didn't have room to put anywhere else.
