This might be a really stupid question, so please bear with me. My unweighted GPA is a 3.54 and my weighted GPA is a 4.4ish. I'm in a higher decile (percentage) with my unweighted GPA than I am with my weighted one, so would I send in my unweighted GPA to my colleges?

Dang wow. Huge difference between your unweighted and weighted.
I thought mine was a big difference; my unweighted is 3.3, weighted 3.94, but wow. You have almost a whole 1.0 difference.

Kennedyk, Your guidance counselor will send your GPA (most likely the weighted GPA) with your class rank (if your school reports class rank). High Schools also include a school profile. The school profile explains how the high school calculates the GPA. Some colleges then recalculate the GPA based on their guidelines to allow for comparison between applicants.
