I just had a question regarding GPA. When I look through these threads and people are stating their GPA's, how are they calculating it? Is it based on all classes, i.e. P.E. and art classes or just academic classes. At my S's school they only calculate academic classes into their GPA's so that is the number that I have in my mind, so it appears a little lower than maybe some of the posters that are adding in those fluff classes. Just wondering what the people thought.

in my school they don’t use GYM and Health grades for your GPA. I don’t know about art, they probably do.

At my school, every class taken was accounted for in the GPA. Things like gym, art, and health aren’t weighted or anything and really do nothing to your GPA unless you got a bad grade. Art etc. are worth less than an academic class at my school because they are only a semester long, rather than a year long course.

Your school gives you your GPA. you need to use that so it matches your HS transcript. The HS report shows how your school calculates the GPA.
