<p>When colleges cite average GPAs in their admission statistics or reference is made in the Common Data Set are they talking about final, four year GPAs, or just what the GPA is as of the time of application, typically just though junior year?</p>
<p>That’s a good question, and I would have to think that colleges use the GPA at time of admission in order to inflate their own numbers. I do not know that for a fact, though, and am merely speculating.</p>
