GPA in Middle School?

It has come to my attention with the release of report cards for the first nine weeks that I have a C in one of my classes, however all of my other grades are A's. I am in the 7th grade, so middle school. And was curious if this will have any affect on my overall acceptance into a college. Are middle school grades taken into account at all?

Middle school is of no importance to your application.

Colleges look at highschool grades and only highschool grades

man, don't worry about college yet

Are you serious?

holy lord, get away from here! i mean its great and all that youre thinking ahead but i didnt snap into reality until middle of my soph year. right now just worry about doing well, so you ahve a good foundation to do well in high school. colleges dont see middle school or care at all, so dont stress out

hey don't worry. as long as they are not high school credits, you are fine. Damn I took Algebra I in 7th grade and got a B and it IS NOW on my high school transcript. I hope colleges won't look at them. I had 4 hs credits taken in Middle school. :(

My understanding is that the admin office looks at your middle school transcript only if they feel a need to augment the information from your high school. IE-you take Trig as a freshman in HS-did you complete algerbra I and Geometry. When you are a junior, have your parents check your hs file to see if your middle school & HS transcript is there. If corrections need to be made-check with your counselor to have them remedied. Good Luck
