i heard fine arts classes that don't even matter kill gpas, if you aren't good at art or something. I am trying to cancel the credits by talking to principal cause i play the piano. is this statement true?

I don’t think so. They are a requirement at my school.

I know some people in my school who take Art (Drawing and Painting) and the teacher has really high standards. Some cool drawings get C’s. (Cool to me, anyway, because I can’t draw.) Those are classes to take only if you’re really talented, otherwise it will kill your gpa.

Well at my school art classes are level 2 classes meaning they don’t count towards your GPA regardless of what grade you receive o.O

I took photography. I got an A. If the teacher sees you trying hard, you’ll get an A.

GPA killers = music, theater, sports and AP classes that you get B’s in.

uhh, most schools require at least 1 credit of fine arts to graduate.
i agree, GPA killers are more along the lines of “oh **** i decided to slack off this quarter in AP ______ and now have died and gone to hell”

If you live in California, they matter, as they’re a requirement to get into most schools there.

^Wow, I just contradicted myself lol

^^^ yup yup

thats why for my obligated arts credit i took AP art history, they dont offer it at my school anymore, a lot of my friends got screwed over with this.

How, exactly, is this a must-read?

^Maybe he/she just wanted people to look at it.
