Does UPENN care more about GPA or ACT/SAT??

GPA as in is top 10% class rank good enough with a 33+ ACT for admissions?

As I understand it, UPenn reads its applications holistically. Therefore, neither the GPA nor the test score is worth more than the other.

It appears you have good stats, so you should apply. Make sure your essays are fantastic, and good luck!

I know that they look at other stuff but im saying from the academics perspective. Like will a 10% rank LOWER THE VALUE of a 33+

I’m not sure you understand how holistic admissions works…

@actsat2400: No I do not believe so. Most ivy league schools want you to be in the top 10% of your class. The fact that you are not in say the top 5% or 1% should not hurt you as badly as you seem to think it will. As long as you are in the top 10%, I think you will be okay. Plus, if your tests scores are any indication of your grades, then colleges will know that you go to a very competitive high school and that being in the top 10% at your school would make you the valedictorian at many other high schools in the country.

But do not worry; UPenn will not toss your application because you are not closer to the top of your class.
